WOMEN´S FUTURE DETERMINES THE FATE OF THE WORLD

New Book Enlightens, Enables, and Empowers Women the World Over

Douglas, MI (Winter, 2004) – Women can save the world! Yes, they can, and you would be mistaken to dismiss it as just more feminist propaganda. In Marchiene and Leigh´s new book, The Future for Women, readers are shown how women and men can become full partners in every arena of society for the benefit of the world.

The book proposes the establishment of a worldwide network of circle meetings that will empower millions of women everywhere to take their place alongside men as full and equal partners in every aspect of life, including top leadership positions. Its unique use of nine questions enables women to come up with their own answers. The circle process gives an experience of empowerment based on a model that has worked for millions of people. As an added attraction, the book combines text with engaging art, and provides blank pages for the reader´s use.

The Future for Women provides practical methods that women – and men – can use to empower each other and consequently create positive changes in the world. Relevant, and truly inspiring, this book gives women an important and universal way to connect with each other in the context of a worldwide movement for equal partnership between the two sexes. The use of nine questions and nine agreements that govern the circle process creates a ground-breaking innovation that is global in its reach.

This book is noteworthy as a challenge to the puzzling silence of the male-dominated media about the existence of a huge global women´s empowerment movement. There are over four million websites on the Internet as evidence of this amazing emergence of feminine energy claiming its place in every arena of society. A growing paradigm shift towards full partnership between men and women is well underway, and this book is an important catalyst for this much needed change.

The author and illustrator of The Future for Women both forged successful careers in male-dominated professions. Marchiene was one of the first women to graduate from a traditional denominational seminary with an M.Div. degree, and went on to become the first woman senior pastor in the Reformed Church in America. Leigh worked in Chicago´s financial markets when few women did so, and became an executive in the bond markets during the 1970's. Marchiene´s childhood in India and Pakistan made her especially sensitive to the widespread injustices suffered by women in every realm of society.
